Cat meat has taken commercial carp waters by storm over the past few seasons. We show you how to hook it like a pro and get the edge over your fishing mates and the fish.

1. Squirt some Hi-Attract liquid into a bowl & add water to dilute it. 70% water and 30% Hi-Attract is about the correct ratio

2. Borrow your wife's pastry brush and paint the liquid onto each side of your slice. Not too much
or the bread will go soggy

3. Use a bread punch to make a pellet of bread. Meat punches are also ideal when targeting big fish like tench and carp

4. Pass your hook through the bread so it sits perfectly on the
bend. Strong, rounded bend patterns like the
Kamasan B611 are ideal

5. The result is a pellet of bread with a distinctive colour and a fish attracting smell. Note how dry the bread still is - this is very important

6. After 30 seconds in the water your pellet will look like this. Use the pineapple Hi-Attract and the bread will look just like sweetcorn!
