Live fish foods are a superb source of additional nutrition for your fish.

It is best for Bloodworm to be stored in a fridge however we recommend feeding as soon as possible on delivery.

Fish love variety in their diets and feeding live food is a great way to provide different food types alongside your normal dry fish foods.

With added benefits including boosted nutrition, vitamins and proteins, live fish foods really are a superb addition to any setup.

We get regular fresh deliveries of live daphnia, bloodworm, tubifex worms and brine shrimp (and other live foods) every Friday, and all livefood orders are dispatched on Fridays, Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays with 24 hours shipping to ensure best quality on arrival to you.

Each bag measures approximately 20cm tall. They're filled half water and half air, with a standard amount of livefood in each bag. Sizes and amounts may vary from bag to bag. Typically, the bags contain around 70-100 worms. Live food ordered after 1.00pm on Thursday wont be sent out until the following Monday.

Please also note that during the Hatching season for Bloodworm's, Glass worms, Black mosquito Larvae etc and along with many other midge Larvae, they do not Wriggle as much and may appear dead! This is not the case and can still be fed to your Fish / Amphibians. The season depends on temperature but commonly occurs around the middle of July to the Middle of September.   

Please note: standard weight postage for this item covers up to 6 bags of mixed live food.

During peak summer months (July and August), where the average temperatures around the country are above 25°C, we may withhold delivery of live and frozen foods. This is due to the heat and postal service holts, delays and changes that are common during this period where we cannot guarantee live or frozen deliveries arriving in fresh condition. Deliveries may continue once the temperatures have returned to normal or are more favourable.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

During the months of July and August (based on hotter weather), bloodworms and glassworms may be less active due to their seasonal hatching around this time. These are still good and safe to use as foods.

Most live foods are heavily stocked every week and can be sent in larger quantities when needed.

Our less popular live foods including Baby Brine Shrimp, Mysis Shrimp, Phytoplankton and Glassworm are carried in a good amount of stock, however larger orders may be delayed whilst we get fresh stock in that following week.

Our cutoff time for larger orders is Monday 3pm - if you place a larger (25+) order after this time, we cannot guarantee that you will receive it that week and it may be delayed till the following week.
