Live Daphnia is one of the most popular live foods available.

Daphnia are filter feeders and can be very beneficial in ponds and aquariums as they help to clear green water, as well as providing a tasty meal for most freshwater fish.

Daphnia are often used in School and College Science Lessons to test for the effects of Caffeine or similar stimulants on there heart Rates as well. I'm sure you'll find them fascinating.

We get regular fresh deliveries of live daphnia, bloodworm, tubifex worms and brine shrimp (and other live foods) every Friday, and all live food orders are dispatched on Fridays, Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays with 24 hours shipping to ensure best quality on arrival to you.
They have the added advantage of generally being able to stay alive in the aquarium until they are eaten.

Each bag measures approximately 20cm tall. They're filled half water and half air, with a standard amount of live food in each bag. Sizes of foods and amounts may vary from bag to bag and during the warmer and colder seasons.  

Elodea are oxygenating plants that can be used for the feeding of fish, decoration and experiments on the release of oxygen from the plants.

During peak summer months (July and August), where the average temperatures around the country are above 25°C, we may withhold delivery of live and frozen foods. This is due to the heat and postal service holts, delays and changes that are common during this period where we cannot guarantee live or frozen deliveries arriving in fresh condition. Deliveries may continue once the temperatures have returned to normal or are more favourable.

During the months of July and August (based on hotter weather), daphnia may be less active or smaller in size due to their seasonal hatching around this time. These are still good and safe to use as foods.
